“Research, into nature, of art.”
Michele was born in 1996 in Orvieto and grew up in a small town located on the border between Umbria, Lazio and Tuscany. Since he was a child he is strongly attracted to the nature that surrounds him to which he devotes all his interest.
For several years now he has been contemplating nature through his camera trying to share his emotions with those who look at his photographs.
The long wait for the moment, for the scene and for the perfect light, combined with the careful study of the composition and the search for strong expressiveness in the subjects, give his photographs a very personal style that often approaches a “dreamlike” vision of nature.
With his rapid success on the web in a short time Michele creates a community with over 4.ooo.ooo followers from over 130 countries. becoming one of the most followed “wildlife” photographers on the web. His images get millions of views and shares from around the world and have been shared by the Discovery Channel and the BBC.
In recent years Michele has been very active on the issue of protecting and safeguarding the environment. He has collaborated several times with the WWF by donating his images in favor of endangered species and with the Lipu.
In 2015 he obtained the 2nd place in the World Championship of young photography in Oman.
In September 2019 he collaborated with ENEL Energia by inserting some portraits of animals from all over the world in their e-magazine, paying attention to eco-sustainability.
In June 2020 he was part of the jury within the artistic project “The cities of the future” proposed by ICS International School which involved important names such as Gianna Nannini, Carlo Cracco, Igino Massari, Elisa.
In August 2020 he was part of the “Prints for Wildlife” project by donating two of his best images to a fundraising campaign for African parks hard hit by the Covid pandemic, helping to combat poaching and the protection of protected areas with an inestimable naturalistic value. Crowfounding raised over $ 600,000.
Michele manages an important network of events related to the world of photography.
It offers on-line post-production courses and basic and advanced photography workshops. He currently runs a series of nature photography workshops in the main Italian parks including: the National Park of Abruzzo, Lazio and Molise, the Gran Paradiso National Park, the Sibillini Mountains National Park, the Circeo National Park, the Parco della Maremma, the Monte Rufeno Nature Reserve and in some WWF and Lipu Oases such as: the WWF Oasis of Alviano Lake, the Lipu Castel di Guido Oasis and the Lipu Mediterranean Habitat Center in Ostia.
Since 2019 he offers photographic trips to the main destinations for nature photography on all continents. Europe, Asia, America and Africa.
The constant work in the field led him to find many collaborations in the world of photography and beyond. From May 2018 Michele became Ambassador of the important GITZO brand and in 2019 he started a collaboration with Canon Italy. From September 2020 he has collaborated with Swarovsky Optik becoming the brand’s “Opinion Leader”.
