Tour informations:
During this period, the Red Deer takes center stage in its breeding season, filling the valleys of this historic park with its resounding mating calls. The harmony of bellows and the clash of antlers weave a magical ambiance that truly comes alive in these untamed Apennine regions.
But that’s not all; it’s a season of remarkable wildlife activity. The elusive Marsican Bear, in a state of hyperphagia, devotes its days to feasting in preparation for the upcoming winter hibernation. Meanwhile, the young Appennine wolves, born roughly four months prior, begin to explore their ancestral lands. Wild Boars, Foxes, Roe Deers, and all the other diverse mammals that inhabit the ancient beech forests and sprawling open spaces are getting ready for the impending winter.
These days are bound to be intense, keeping us engaged from sunrise to sunset as we venture into the field. We’ll form a tight-knit group of photographers, aiming to minimize any disruption while maximizing photographic opportunities. During our time out in the field, we’ll discuss fundamental and advanced shooting techniques to help you capture creative and exceptional images.
After sunset and during the midday hours, we’ll delve into reviewing your shots and enhancing your post-production skills using software tools, enabling you to optimize your photographs.
Our mission is to equip participants with a blend of biological insights and photography know-how, enabling them to pursue this captivating passion with the utmost respect for nature and the skills needed to capture perfect shots in any scenario.
Get ready for an immersive and captivating experience that will unveil a whole new dimension of wildlife photography!

Destination
Located within the heart of the National Park of Abruzzo, Lazio, and Molise, we find ourselves amidst one of Italy’s oldest national parks, established on January 11, 1923. Renowned for its incredible biodiversity, this park stands out not only on a national scale but also on a European level.
Within the park’s boundaries reside some of Europe’s most significant mammals, highlighted by a thriving population of wolves. Yet, it’s the Marsican brown bear, an endemic species to this region, that truly captures the park’s essence and serves as its symbolic emblem. Amidst these breathtaking landscapes, you’ll also find a flourishing population of deer and Apennine chamois. The elusive wild cat, although rare, adds an extra layer of intrigue.
The park boasts a rich avian tapestry, with over 200 bird species, including the majestic golden eagle, gracing its skies. The park’s environment is an ever-changing canvas, transitioning from ancient beech forests to open meadows and expansive vistas. The undulating Apennine mountains, a defining feature of the region, often transform into rugged cliffs that punctuate the landscape.
Combining its diverse ecosystems, the remarkable fauna, and the interplay of rural and cultural heritage, the National Park of Abruzzo, Lazio, and Molise stands as an exquisite jewel, making it one of Italy’s most captivating and enchanting natural destinations.

You can observe animals at all distances, therefore a 70-200mm can already be enough to give satisfaction.
